Mike's 1992 Bright Aqua Coupe

Don't Sing It....Bring It!

Hi! My name is Mike, and I am the Vice-President and Concours chairman of the Northern Virginia Corvette Club. I am very active within the club but prefer autocrossing and road racing. My car is a 1992 Z07 Bright Aqua Coupe. It is a 6-spd (what else?) and I have made the following modifications to it:

  • MORE Performance Top-End Kit
  • LT1 CNC Ported Heads
  • 2" and 1.57" severe duty Stainless Steel Valves w/Titanium Retainers
  • Comp Cams Double Valve Springs
  • Comp Cams Pro Magnum Roller Rockers (1.6)
  • Comp Cams Pro Magnum Hydraulic Roller Lifters
  • Comp Cams Custom Cam 210/224-112
  • Comp Cams Guide Plate and 7/16 Studs
  • Hardened Race Pushrods
  • Custom Chip by Ed Wright
  • TPIS 1.75" Full Length Headers
  • 3" B&B Tri-Flow Exhaust
  • 3" Dr Gas X-Pipe replacing the Tri-Flow Resonator
  • Breathless Vortex Air Intake
  • Be-Cool Aluminum Radiator
  • MSD Ignition and Coil
  • Doug Rippie Shock Controller Prom
  • Doug Rippie Brake Bias
  • Revalved Bilstein Shocks
  • Poly-Urethane Bushings all the way around
  • Lowered 2"
  • Stainless Steel Brake Lines
  • Performance Friction 90 Compound Pads
  • 3" Autopower Rollbar w/5pt Harnesses
  • Chrome GS Wheels (AFS Inc.) w/SP8000's 17x9.5 & 17x11
  • Black GS Wheels (AFS Inc.) w/Kuhmo's 17x9.5 & 17x11
  • Miscellaneous other mods as well

I have dynoed the car using a dynojet and my best pull was 351 RWHP and 350 RWTQ. I have also run it down the drag strip a few times as well, with a best of 12.71 @ 111 mph. This was on street tires.

Here is the engine getting ready to be put back in the car

Here I am in turn three at Old Dominion Speedway. ODS is a 3/8 mile banked oval track that our club gets to use for our autocrosses.

This one here was taken at Summit Point on the big track. This is turn 10. Notice the perfect apex here at over 80 MPH.
