Callaway and Corvette announce Regular Production Option (RPO) PCY to mark the 35th Anniversary of the RPO B2K Callaway Corvette.

The year was 1987. And if you wanted a monster Corvette with over 380 horsepower, you wanted the twin turbo Callaway Corvette. All you had to do was check the RPO B2K box on the order sheet and come up with the extra $26,995 to turn your regular C4 into a twin turbo Callaway. That was 35 years ago, and the Corvette is not only still with us, but a modern C8 Stingray has performance chops to shame the old Callaway. But a Callaway always held a special place in the heart of Corvette fans. And now for 2022 it is back. For the 2022 model year, RPO PCY specifies the Chevrolet “B2K 35th Anniversary Package” on the Corvette.

That is right Callaway Corvette fans. You can order a new Callaway Corvette at any Callaway authorized Chevrolet dealer in North America. If you specify RPO code PCY you will not only get all the goodies that come with the car but the B2K 35th Anniversary Package will be listed on the order documents, vehicle build sheet, and the Monroney label. That is all well and good, but a Callaway is about a lot more than just documentation. So, what upgrades do you get on the car itself?

Callaway Carbon Fiber Aerodynamic Group

B2K 35th Anniversary

You get carbon fiber and a lot of it. And the carbon fiber bits you do get were all designed by Dr. Paul Deutschman, who is the designer of every Callaway project since the Project Sledgehammer car in 1988. The parts are designed to not just look great but also to improve stability at speed. The exterior carbon fiber parts include a front splitter, rocker panel extensions, slot gap rear spoiler, and rear diffuser assembly. The end result is a car that is subtle but still would stand out in a crowd of Corvettes.

Double-D Exhaust

B2K 35th Anniversary

A telltale design feature of any Callaway Corvette is the unique Double-D exhaust. The B2K 35th Anniversary has this exhaust design but like the carbon fiber bits it is for more than just looks. The exhaust is constructed out of T304 stainless steel. It contains a central acoustic chamber that eliminates drone but provides a higher pitch exhaust note. The special exhaust is also an impressive 40 pounds lighter than the factory unit. Less weight is always a good thing.

Callaway Forged C8 Corvette Wheels

Callaway Corvette

The B2K 35th Anniversary Edition Callaway Corvette also has a special set of wheels that like the other modifications offer form and function. The wheels are fully forged aluminum construction and they cut a substantial 26 pounds of unsprung weight compared to the stock setup. The reduction in weight is even more impressive when you consider that these wheels are half an inch wider than the factory set. Carbon fiber center caps and lug nuts are included with each wheel. The wheels are available in your choice of five finishes. Ceramic Polished, Satin Black, Gloss Titanium, Matte Bronze, and Black Chrome PVD. You can order the wheels by themselves if you don’t want the whole package. They will set you back between $6,490 and $7,780 depending on the finish you select.

Callaway Interior

Interior

Inside the car there is no shortage of reminders that you are in a special Corvette. Aluminum door sills with the Callaway logo greet you when you open the door. You will also get a carpeted floor mat set embroidered with the 35th Anniversary wreath and leather heel pad. CNC-machined aluminum pedal covers are also standard. On the center console you will see a Callaway serialized interior build placard.

Other Goodies

Car Cover

In addition to all of the above you will get some other Callaway baubles. You will get a Callaway Corvette car cover. A Mothers detailing kit is included to keep your special car clean. You will also get a leather-bound Certificate of Authenticity, and some 35th Anniversary swag. The car also comes with a 3-year/36,000-mile warranty that covers all Callaway components.

What You Don’t Get

Engine cover

More power. The B2K 35th Anniversary Package uses the same LT2 making the same power it does in the regular Stingray. So, the wider wheels, weight reduction and aero improvements are the only performance gains you will see. Don’t go picking any fights with a C8 Z06 you see at a stop light. That could be quite embarrassing for you.
