Juliet's 1970 Corvette Convertible
These photos are the original wiper bay, wiper arms as I purchased my '70 Corvette in December 1999 with 44k miles. Note the incorrect blue overspray on everything. I am slowly removing the overspray and restoring the wiper compartment.
The vacuum valves shown are located at the base of the passenger side wiper blade. The old, covered with paint spray valve I believe is factory original. The current replacement from the Chevy dealer is configured somewhat differently. I've been told that the original factory valve had the colored dots painted on it, just like the service replacement. These are for easy alignment of the vacuum hoses, which contain a color coded paper band wrapped approximately one inch before the hose end.
